Flag of the Sixth Corps
Welcome to our pages on the 95th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, also known as "Gosline's Zouaves". Organized in Philadelphia in the late summer of 1861, the 95th Pennsylvania Volunteers served with the Army of the Potomac from 1861 to 1865 and were engaged in all of the campaigns of that army- the Peninsula, Second Manassas, Maryland Campaign, Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville Campaigns, Gettysburg, Mine Run Operations, the Overland Campaign, siege of Petersburg, the Valley Campaign of 1864, and the Appomattox Campaign. Unlike some of the early zouave units that discarded the fanciful uniforms, the 95th Pennsylvania retained a portion of their distinctive dress throughout the war, specifically the cut-away jacket with red trim and brass buttons. The men who served in this regiment were proud of their service and their distinction as a Pennsylvania Zouave regiment.

We portray Company C, 95th Pennsylvania Infantry at living history events and reenactments where this regiment saw service. For additional historic information on the 95th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, check our pages below.
